That is a lovely looking chair. I like how you have changed the proportions - it's a visual improvement as well as a comfort one. I'm due to replace my very heavy leather recliner suite and I was thinking about furniture that was more in keeping with the period when the house was built - 1973. Wood and upholstery was a lot more prominent. I did see some beautiful Ercol cabinets in a charity shop, but they were closed at the time, leaving them behind was hard! I understand about having a piece around for a while until it speaks to you, I'm the same with fabric and wool.

Thanks @shanibeer 😄 I think this chair is a little older than the70s, but I really like furniture from the 1920-1970 period. 😄 I bet there’s loads of nice secondhand 70s stuff online for you to redecorate your house with. 😁
