Marriage is something very sacred within the culture of the Acehnese society because it is related to religious values. Marriage has its own nuances and is highly respected by the people. The marriage ceremony in Aceh society is a series of activities consisting of several stages, ranging from mate (husband / wife), engagement and until the ceremony of the inauguration of marriage.
A habit for the people of Aceh, before the wedding party took place, first three days and three nights held ceremony meugaca or baca gaca (berinai) for the bride and bride in their respective homes.
