The Human Race does not play about accomplishments. We love the idea of evolving by reaching our goals and progressing on the economic and social scale. It is not easy to have come a long way on a path, then have to abandon that for a fresh start. We forget that it is completely okay to do that, because of the embargo placed on time.
No one wants to waste time as it is so precious. I mean, Time Is Money, and Money rules. This is why leaving a job you have worked for so long, to maybe start your own business or take on a junior role in a different field requires one to think long and hard before making a decision.
Some people would choose the safer route, one that offers the security needed to stay on the sunny side of life. And that is completely okay. However, situations where you are forced to start over could present itself. Being able to choose to start over is courageous. And we should encourage more people to do that should they be confronted with that option.
Knowing When to Give up and Start Over
I think we should be okay with the idea of giving up on things that no longer serve us for a chance at higher fulfillment. Be it relationships, career, education; etc. While good things take time, unproductive things are famous for consuming awful lot of time too. We have to decide when it is no longer in our long-term interest to keep pouring our time and resources into something, and divert our energy to another even if it means starting over.
We must always take a chance on ourselves, giving as much grace is needed to ourselves. Fresh start, like the word itself suggests is refreshing. It takes away the pressure of the old and ushers in a new perspective and readiness to grow and evolve differently.
I hope you have the courage to take the bold step should you find yourself faced with one. And if you choose to stick with the path you are on and make it work for you, then Kudos, for that is equally courageous.
Thank you for stopping by. ❤️
