Hello everyone
It's so great to be here today again with my creativity and i hope you all are doing well, its been a rainy day and the weather is so cold, i had to be indoor and try this simple wallet out after waking up from a warm sleep 😃😃
Thank God it's Friday and im happy to share with you the cutting and sewing process of this simple card wallet with zipper, it can also serves as a coin wallet since it has a zipper to secure your coin, this so easy to make, all you need is just a little piece of left over fabric with a small zipper, just follow the process and it can easily be made for a friend as gift or for oneself.
Let me take you through the cutting and sewing process
I measured and cut out 8 x 5" from a piece of fabric with lining of same shape.
It was taken to the sewing machine as i placed my small zipper on the main fabric with the zipper head facing down then i placed the lining on it and it was sewn together.
It was turned to the right side and I top stitched on it
To sew the zipper on the other side, i placed the main fabric to main fabric and lining to lining, with the zipper in between, it was also sewn on and top stitched as well.
It was then turned to the wrong side, i measured 1" from the zipper and folded it with the lining to lining and main fabric to main fabric.
I made the handle as i cut out 6 x 2" piece of fabric, it was folded and sewn on both sides.
The handle was placed in the wallet below the zipper and sewn on both sides with the zipper opened to the middle leaving a part of the lining unsewn.
The excess were trimmed off neatly on both sides.
It was turned inside out through the opening that was left unsewn on the lining and through the zipper opening.
This is the final outcome of the coin/ card wallet I made from left over fabric, it is very simple, easy and useful, these are my cards well arranged in it for safe keeping.
This card wallet looks pretty cool. It's useful for holding the cards securely. Love it. Thank you for sharing this.
