A Glimmer of Hope?

Splinterlands is starting to breath a little bit of fresh air for the first time in about at least a year. It's been all downhill for them for quite a while. It's been sad to see people eat each other up over their loss of funds.

We've been the same. At the height our Splinterlands asset roster boated an impressive $200k+ and now, in 2025, we're boasting a barely over $20k asset value in that game.

However, I've always been positive about Lands. A lot of people forget that Splinterlands is one of the oldest and most well respected gaming platforms in the web3 space. Not only does it blend impressive mechanics with immersive gameplay, but it also has an absolutely fantastic UX, something I've been saying for years crypto needs to work upon.

It's safe to say that when it comes to gaming then Splinterlands is one of those games leading the charge. Especially with lands. I mean I think they will be one of the only games with workable lands when people start to come to crypto again and want to play. We should start to see that happen in the next few months.

But for now, we'll enjoy the price maturity of SPS.

100%+ rise in just a few days. Cool, right? This will only get more in the coming weeks and it'll be nice to watch. Will it be enough to make a difference? I guess we'll see. Time will tell. We're in it for the long haul anyway.

One thing with SPS is when the price rises significantly then so does everything in the game. We've yet to see that materialise right now because the price is so low and it's not enough to make a credible difference in relationship to the cards.

For example if you spend a good $200 on a mining plot; getting your cards, staking your dec, making sure you have the correct plot for your needs -- the price right now is negligible for what you're earning. In all honesty, the profits are quite laughable.

However that will change significantly in the coming months. And all it will take is for SPS to reach a point where the value of what you're mining exceeds a certain point and then it's all change. Demand will rise significantly, as will SPS, Cards, and Plots -- the whole ecosystem will receive a huge boost as everyone scrambles to grab their own slice of gold.

The main part to all this show is research -- which I think quite a lot of people are going to be sad that they never battened down the hatches and went in it for the long haul like we did. Because when research starts opening up the rewards people are going to be surprised. You'll see.

Currently we're 281st in the whole game for research, which is impressive, considering we've been earning not that much for what we have invested in the game so far.

But as far as I'm aware for those that have been mining research they will be able to mint new cards, mint new spells, and a whole array of glorious new things coming to the game that you will only be able to buy from the land owners.

Cool huh? That's coming soon!

And if Splinterlands starts to heal financially, all our projects will start to get better too. Better divs, more opportunities, we'll be spreading our wings, and generally people will be happier all around.

Future is starting to look bright again!

Peace :)

This sounds like financial advice... 😆
