So I've said this for a while now in the BRO community that eventually people will come here in their masses, and they wont necessarily be seeking hardcore finances, but a sense of belonging.
Everyone wants to belong to somewhere, whether that's part of a guild on splinterlands, or part of a silver saver club on hive.
The one thing that separates them all is the feeling of belonging to a group, a hive mindset, a collective.
I've said this for a while that humans thrive to be individuals, but there is also a deep seated need to be part of something greater.
Think of it like this; we are all still primal beasts.
We might think we have evolved, but we have not; we still yearn to be connected to that communal party, that feeling of belonging to something greater than ourselves.
When we existed as hunter gatherers, well before towns and cities, we would belong to family groups and we would hunt and forage in packs for the safety of the group.
Since this is no longer required we have reverted to friendship groups and family, but the feeling is still the same, we still need it.
We see this now with large groups forming in real life and the internet; all over the place. Recently it's been Political groups, but I suspect that will eventually die out and there will be a new fervour in the next 10 years.
People get bored eventually.
I know I have.
But when the masses come,
They wont necessarily be looking for finance as we have been; we were sort of pioneers in a new financial age, just like web1 users were pioneers in a new era of connectivity.
Web 1 users were in it for the connectivity, the money, and the information decentralization that it promised us. They were in it for the core fundamentals -- whereas web2 people cared not at all for the information and what it does for humanity..
They just wanted to feel something.
They wanted to connect with something more.
That's it.
It's not much deeper than that -- web2 users were the new users of the technology built by the fundamentalists.
That's where Steve Jobs came in; he connected the world with the fundamentals.
This is the beginning of what came to web2, on web3.
Web 3 users will be the people that use the technology that was built by the fundamentalists.
They wont be interested in the free world a crypto connected society will create, they will just want to earn, be connected with people, and feel like they belong somewhere.
That's what hive has been really good at doing overall -- connecting people.
If you look at hive for example there's an added layer of connectivity we support and that's the ability for everyone to earn, and that is everyone.
So when your community is supporting your bread and milk, and sometimes even your way of life then the game changes a little, the loyalty bores down much deeper than say a web2 community would.
There becomes a sort of fundamental loyalty of sorts.
Something that binds us together more than words, and more than friendships.
It's a way of life almost.
And that will be coming to the Internet very soon.
People will be able to create what they've always dreamed of and not be skilled developers -- I mean there's the tools for that already.
One can create a hive community on cats, create a cat token, and get everyone to write about how awesome cats are.
Right now there's not huge amounts of interest in this type of thing because the big money has been sorting out the base layer financials out; the crypto fundamentals.
But now that Trump has essentially opened the floodgates tools and utilities are going to start getting built to connect everything together.
And then people will come to web3 to do whatever they've always dreamed of, and earn, and earn well with it.
You know what that means right?
This will fundamentally change the way we operate as a society, and as a world.
Workplaces will have to completely rewrite their ethics codes on how to retain employees; good honest workers will seek a life on web3, rather than be under the boot of the system.
Jobs will have to be really good to retain employees.
This will reshape Politics, finance, economics, and the free world.
