In light of recent changes to what's happening in the wider community with what @acidyo has in mind for the smaller L2's on chain, then we will be making the following amendments:
Our voting circle will be entirely manual from now on. We have hired a curator to attend to this, and depending on her workload we might have to hire one or more curators, but we'll see how this pans out.
This will be a good thing in the long term for us, because we can not only engage with our community on discord, but on chain too. A positive step in the right direction.
I'm really not a fan of not "rewarding" and "trying to grow" our own community though, and that's why we will be asking people that support us to use the tags "Bro" "Legion" and "gifu" in the future, depending what community you are affiliated with. Then it will be easier for our curator(s) to find you, and upvote your post if it's a good one.
Please welcome our new curator @hopestylist, she's a lovely Nigerian lass -- I picked her from the City of Neoxian because @neoxian vets all the people that joins his discord to a high degree. That means I have a nice pool of willing participants, and I highly support the Nigerian community when I can. @burlarj has been extremely good to me in the past, and I'm always up for supporting his community.
Everything else will remain the same in retrospect. You may delegate to us as normal and earn our tokens; whichever project side that may be, whether it's BRO, LGN, or Gifu, and you'll earn your tokens as normal -- and as usual we will be holding the price up on the market as best as we can through buybacks and reward sharing.
We also have quite a bit of liquidity backing up our projects; I think between all three projects we have roughly $80-90k in total backing them.
@dailydab is running as normal and shouldn't be affected. In fact I encourage you to try that one out because APR is very high. The meat isn't with what you earn weekly, but with the hive that you earn for staking and holding.
So that's the update. We are fully moving to 100% manual curation.
I am in two minds with this. In one way it's exciting to engage with our community on chain again as it is in Discord (I make it my duty to try and get to know most active people personally), but in the other sense I'm sad to see projects that we have worked with (and held a good relationship with), like the @freecompliments community come to an end.
It's like I said in the Hive discord, everyone buys into hive in some form.
So, to restate that again: Please make sure you use either the tags #bro, #legion, or #gifu so that we can find you. I may even revisit the community that I created for Brofund and see what we can do in there.
Obviously this will take us a few weeks to get right, and to also master, so you will have to bear with me as we subsequently train our curator(s) and make sure everyone is posting in our community, and also using the right tags.
To the future future
There are several important things I'm working on right now for the future and beyond -- which might not have a noticeable impact in the shorter term, but it will in the longer term, so please bear with me.
Those that have been reading me recently will have seen that I'm growing our Twitter account very fast. I plan to have a monetized account in the next few months and a sizeable amount of followers.
I can play this two ways really but it depends which one is better for us in the longer term. I can use it to direct people into our communities and Hive in general, or I can use the monetization to buy our tokens back. It really just depends which one is more beneficial but I will have a more accurate idea of when I'm there.
Maybe I can do both?
I'm also making inroads with communities outside of hive paving a way for us to go multichain. We are multichain already if you have bought yourself some @gifu and know that we are sitting on some epic bsc potential gains. We are slowly building up that community.
I'm playing the long game on bsc. So far I only seem to attract spam accounts, but that will change as I get to know people better. People are funny beings. It takes a while to trust.
Also Newton. I've worked my way into an important spot in Magic Newton which as far as I understand it will be a way to merge all chains together and making web3 as easy to build on as web2 -- sounds futuristic, but I'm in the inner circle and I'm waiting to get my teeth stuck into what's happening over there and how we can benefit from it (and how they can from us).
There are some exciting things on the horizon for us. You may just have to wait a while.
