Statistics (Weekly) as promised

Okay, so for my funding I promised to post weekly statistics. Now that I've been doing these videos for a week now, I'll post my stats. Hopefully we'll see slow growth.

One thing I've learned with YouTube is that growth is relatively slow -- it's not insane like blowing up on social media. That's unicorn land. Although I've had a few written pieces in my life blow up before. However, that's a different story.

So I started off creating 2 small shorts daily to get into the swing of things. My confidence was in the gutter and I couldn't bring myself to do anything about it. However, one thing I could do with myself was produce a short or two.

Anyways, the shorts worked out so well that I began to gain the confidence to bring out a full blown video. So right now I'm making 2 shorts daily, and a video on Friday. I will probably up the ante on that in all realism because I'd like to have at least 3 full videos out there per day.

As you can see by my stats my shorts are popular, but then we have a dip in views when I release a video -- this is normal, shorts are easier and faster to consume so it's only likely that more people will be watching them. Videos are harder to watch and longer -- shorts are very short lived though, videos gain slow traction.

If you look on the right my long form video is now sitting at 59 views when previously (like only a day or so it was sitting at 7 views) so this process takes time (and perhaps a trend to kick off).

Nevertheless this week has been super fun and I'm enjoying what I'm doing again, finally, for once -- so I'll be kicking off my YouTube adventure from last week and we'll go from there. Let's see how far we can take this.

For reference I went with talking about crypto snippets and having hive and BRO messaging at the end. If all I talk about is hive constantly then people are going to start to get insanely bored.

Anyway, that's how I see it.
