I re-discovered Chess the other day. Online chess. I absolutely love it. I have heard of Chess.com and their app but randomly decided to download it the other day. It's rare that an app, especially a game app, works out to be a game I actually keep and enjoy. I SERIOUSLY enjoy this app.

I actually got a mini chess set for Christmas as a kid and loved it. Stupidly though, I brought it to school as a kid, played at the lunch table but got teased a little and never really played it again LOL. Yikes. But I do remember really enjoying it.

The chess app is like, perfect man. There's awesome features and different boards you can use. It tracks your skill rating and everything! My mind overthinks and is often racing like, all the time. When I play chess, my brain shuts up! I just focus on the game and all possible outcomes.

Now, I am god awful at the game at the moment. But the game is just thrilling. It's so cool how ancient the game is too. I showed my son the game and I was surprised that he even enjoyed it! I told him this is the OG game LOL.

It's a cool thought picturing going back in time with a time machine or something and showing people that Chess is now being played with people across the world, in head to head matches LOL. The online feature is so satisfying and you can collect flags showing how many different players from different countries you have played.

I can't get enough of the game, although the hours tick by dangerously quick when playing LOL.

Chess.com is now a forever app on my phone!

Speaking of phones, I had to FINALLY get another one yesterday. my old phone finally broke beyond repair. I was highhhhhhly annoyed at the time. But I knew this day would come eventually unfortunately. Also, this phone is a massive upgrade especially in terms of memory. I am actually pretty glad I have it and it was surprisingly cheap.

But yeah, between reading, and playing chess, I think I am choosing some solid hobbies. I gotta hit the gym one of these days too.

Spoke to my son today too which was wonderful. He was over the other day too.

Meh. Hive on folks.
