Yeah. About 6 months since I travelled there. Covid restrictions meant dodging impending lock-downs, but the trip was well worth it.

We celebrate the solstice. The return of light into the deepest dark. We’ll get together with some folx around a fire abs do some singing. Christmas morning We’ll probably play a game called (I think) schrott wescheln, which is German for junk swap. Everyone brings something to give. It can’t be something you buy. Thanks there’s dice rolled fire switching and stealing and opening and, most important, making new and ever more ridiculous rules. Sometimes my tradition also includes Christmas morning hot toddies.
