I once had a neighbor who was always a scam victim, she always find herself in situations where she got scammed and then cry out to everyone. I always wondered why her? Why is she always getting scammed, usually money doubling scams or anything that was supposed to let her pay less for more. I noticed that she is a lazy persona and a greedy person who is always looking for shortcuts to things. The first time I heard her complain getting scammed, the scammer told her that he was going to help her trade her money through option trading and in 12 hours, she would have triple the amount but he will take 1/3 of it and give her the rest.

Without no hesitation she agreed and sent money to this person and got blocked afterwards. Some other time she got a message from an instagram account telling her she was one of the lucky ones that won some random instagram giveaway, but she needs to send shipping fee money to get it shipped to her. She got over $1k worth of giveaway but needed to pay $25 worth of delivery to get it delivered. Without hesitation she sent the money for delivery fee. Got blocked by this person again.
First of all, why will someone random want to give you $1k worth of giveaway that you didn’t participate in. And if they can afford to give you $1k worth, then they can probably afford to pay for the delivery fee. But the greedy and selfish part of them prevented them from having critical thinking of the situation. Let me use myself as an example, most of the times I got scammed was because I got greedy, I knew they were too good to be true but the greedy part of me didnt care.
