Hey again !!!
Today I will be sharing about Nepal, my birth place.
Nepal is rich in different art and architecture along with its ancient historic cultures and traditions. It is a colorful garden of 36 ethnic groups, 4 castes where more than 100 different languages are spoken.
I got this picture from google by the way. All these dresses symbolize their own culture and traditions. Nepal is the only country having a triangular flag and the only nation which do not celebrates independent day :) well in this case, i m so proud to be a Nepali.
This is so me carrying Nepali Flag at the elevation of above 3000m.
The living goddess Kumari blessing an old lady in the above picture.
Here's an interesting fact as well... Nepal celebrates festival called Shivaratri in the month of February when people visit Pashupatinath Temple to worship God Shiva and also to smoke marijuana. People believe " Shiva is a God who loves marijuana and so do many of his followers"
This is Boudhanath Stupa (the largest Buddhist Stupa of the nation)

My friend really worked hard to pour that rice beer in our bowl :p
Let me show you my picture with Newari dress (^_^)
This is my country #Nepal. The land of beauty, the land where Lord Gautam Buddha was born, the land which has eight of the world's highest mountains including Mount Everest, the land for mountaineers, rock climbers, adventurers and even peace lovers. This is the view of Mount Machhapuchhre that I clicked during my journey to Mardi Himal. I know many people have not even heard of Nepal. So I have collected few pictures to show the beauty of it to my Steemit friends out there. Scroll down for more pictures :)
Okay this is the small waterfall in Chisapani :)
Do not get bored yet :) scroll down for further pictures :)

Pic: Spinny Babbler also known as Kande Vyakur in Nepali is found only in Nepal
Also..Nepali people..they worship cows as Goddess; we do not kill cows neither do we see them being killed or let them being slaughtered in front of our eyes. Cows are Lord
Same goes for dogs. There is a special day separated for us to thank our lifeguard "DOGS" and worship them.
This is the typical Nepali cuisine "Dal Bhat"
and here's Newari cuisine down below:

Pic: Just married Nepali couples :)
just in case you don't know..... Newari ladies.. they get married 3 times in their life time..once with the bel fruit
once with the sun:
and last with the person they love: like in the above happily married couples :) they believe that..marrying to Bel fruit and the Sun itself, even if their husband pass away before them, they do not have to live their life being a widow. That's how Nepali culture differs.
I can really not explain how beautiful the country is and how vast the cultures and traditions differ from place to place inside the country itself. Do google Nepal to see its nature and alluring attractions :) I am sure every one will love it.
Moreover, Nepali people..they say "We don't follow money or day-to-day things. They are not important; you don't need those things. The only thing humans need is to share love with each other and share our culture."
That's all for this time
Please love and support
Yours
Sandhya
Much love from my side to everyone in Steemit Family <3
