making NO into YES!!

When starting out on a networking business the thing most people are afraid of is the potential client or sponsor telling them no. Most of the time we do not know how to react to this and we usually end up just saying, It's okay with me thank you for your time and leave.

I was like that as well in the beginning. My moto was just asking, they can't kill you for asking (well not suppose to) but if the answer is no, just move on to the next one. This worked fine until I realized I was getting more no's than yesses, somehow I had to make a NO change into a YES.

FIRST STEP:
You need to build a relationship with your potential client. Over the years of being in the network business, I have learned that you need to have some kind of personal connection with your client or sponsor. You do not have to go and get drunk with them or go visit them at their house, you just simply need to know a small amount of background to keep a conversation going.
If you feel weird asking about their personal background like if they have kids or married you can ask them if you can send a facebook friend request. From there you can see what is happening in their life and you have tons of leads to build up a nice conversation.

SECOND STEP:
Once you have to build a relationship you have to keep it going, now for this, you need to have a planner, you need to plan your future meetings. Get yourself a diary and write down short notes on what you talked about so that when you call them again in a few weeks you can bring up previous, important things.

NOW CHANGING THAT NO TO A YES

Once you have done the two steps I have mentioned above you can start to build a client list and prospect new members. When a client says no, you can simply say;" Thank you, Andrea for your time, This is a really great product, can I call you later the month again?" If she says no to being called again, you need to know that you didn't get to know her well enough. Now you have to do some damage control. Follow her on Facebook and like and comment on some images. Send her SMS now and again then after a week or two, ask her if she is still struggling with the reason she wanted to buy or know about your products. The chances are she will be more interested now to buy from you.

The same goes for prospecting a new member, you need to have some background on them. You need to analyze if this opportunity you want to give her is really going to make her life better. When she says no, tell her;"thank you for being honest with me, but I really think that you would be great in this business and I think you will do really great running your own business". (everyone loves to be complimented) If she says no, ask her if it is okay if you could call her back in a few weeks, maybe she would be ready to join.

Everyone's life can change at any time. You may have called her and she would have said, Listen, I'm very happy working my long hours in the corporate world, but if you phone her three weeks later, she might have found out she is pregnant, now her world is shifting, she wouldn't be able to work the long hours. The company might have suddenly told them that they are going to close down now she needs to find another job. She might remember you and call you up or your call can be the call she needed at that moment.

The more I interacted with the people and not just seeing them as a team member that brings in money or a client that only needs to buy to get a commission. I started to get more yesses and my business grew overnight and even by its self!
