Thanks...I knew I could depend on you to highlight the negative.
(only kidding)
Oddly enough the batteries are rechargeable...and all interchange with my other power tools.

My wife was marveling at my ability to do that just yesterday!
I find that rechargeable batteries seldom life up to their advertised life expectancy. It's good to have ones that are somewhat standardized, the batteries on some craftsmen tools I had were pretty much shit and I found a 4 pack of them pretty cheap on Amazon so now those tools are usable again, it's frustrating to use any tool and have the battery die without another handy.
I'm pretty happy so far with Dewault
Their 20max and FlexVolt batteries interchangeably power a broad range of tools from yardwork to woodworking.
I have their drill and impact driver, I like it and the batteries so far seem ok, they charge in about the same time it takes to run one down so you can keep working consistently.
WAIT...there's more.
get a few of the 60 v (smartvolt) batteries.
they make the ever ready bunny look like a turtle.
that seems more like what you need for something like a lawnmower
That's what I use for the lawnmower.
