Say what you want to about variant covers, but some of them are just plain awesome. Sometimes I like to buy variants because I just prefer them to the regular covers. Here are some pictures of my most recent variant cover purchases.

What more can be said about this cover? It is just plain beautiful. Captain Marvel, the colours and even the background were painted perfectly.

I really like the action that this cover captures between Spidey & Carnage.
4- Danger Girl 20th Anniversary Virgin Variant "Smoking Gun"
I have always liked this cover...but was always out of my price range. Recently KRS comics and a couple other stores put the virgin variant covers up for sale. ..so I bought 4 of them. Can't go wrong for $30 US each!
5- Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider #1 virgin cover / Weapon H #1 virgin variant with cover art for both by Clayton Crain!
I love Ghost Rider...such a bad ass character,but the homage cover to Hulk 181 with woliverine fighting weapon H is to good a cover to leave off the list, so I put both in for number 5 as a tie. With Clayton Crain behind the art work for this variant cover ...I had to buy this one for my personal collection.

Justan amazing cover of the Batman who laughs with a hostage. I wonder who is the person in the bandages? Either way, I have a set of these coming to my collection.
