What upside could it really have? YT is the establishment, they are doing everything they can to demonetize your videos about the topics you care about the most.
YTs potential agenda:
- Only select a few alternative news sources together with a whole bunch of politically correct YT-channels and try to praise you and win you over (brainwashing)
- As you mentioned yourself, get more data on you & your family, your background etc
- Persuade you that you can do other news stories in somewhat related fields (politically correct topics) since you are such a gifted broadcaster/journalist and that you can make a ton of money doing this
