The Public Ministry commissioned the 124th Prosecutor of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas, Juan Carlos Toro, to investigate the death of Xiomara Soledad Scott (61), which occurred during an irregular situation that originated on Sunday, July 16, on Sucre de Catia Avenue In which four other women were also injured.

In the afternoon hours of Sunday, the victims were traveling along the avenue, specifically at the height of the church El Carmen, where a concentration was taking place, when a group of motorized armed men allegedly fired at the people who were there.
The 61-year-old victim died minutes after entering the Peripheral Hospital of Catia, while the injured were being treated at the aforementioned care center.
It should be noted that the septuagenarian was a nurse at the Dr. Miguel Pérez Carreño Hospital.
Prior to this pronouncement of the Public Prosecutor's Office, the mayor of Sucre municipality of Miranda state, Carlos Ocariz, had offered details of what happened, during a press conference.
