The name is really difficult to pronounce, but this newly discovered carnivore is different in that its the only one with vertical ridges on the upper jaw and a few other differences with the skull. Obviously this species was very ferocious, but it had to contend with a few other tyrannosaur species like Tyrannosaurus, Albertosaurus, Gorgosaurus, and Daspletosaurus. These were the most successful land animals ever. When they evolved into such giant beasts they dominated like nothing before or after.
