Searching a particular content in steemit blog becomes difficult. For example, let us say someone has posted an article on health benefits of fruits. How do the other steemians know about it? Do they receive any alert or do they have an option to search for it and find it out. Steemit developers should introduce post alerts for a particular content under a specific tag.

A method to search using tags and boolean operators (and / or / not) was presented here, though it does not appear to be a feature through the standard UI.
It looks like the feature was considered in the steemapi [source], but has since been abandonded [source].
It should be a part of standard UI so that everybody knows and can use it. Any specific reason why it was abandoned?
