People from nations across the globe eagerly watched and attended the games as athletic excellence was taken to extraordinary levels. The legacy of the 2012 London Olympic Games was highlighted by a city coming together, an inclusion of more women, and outstanding athleticism and competitiveness.
London’s British military, police, and volunteers were praised for their exceptional organizational skills. The city made numerous preparations far in advance to accommodate the large number of patrons that attended the games. British officials spared no cost in hiring extra security to ensure the safety of everyone attending the games and the surrounding businesses and venues. However, this was not London’s first time of having the distinguished honor of hosting the games. London made history by being the first city to host the Olympic Games three times.

The Olympic Games are a must for any sports enthusiast. Athletes say that they feel a sense of pride and accomplishment just by being allowed to compete in the games. However, when an athlete wins a medal joy, tears, and excitement shine in their eyes. The legacy of the 2012 London Olympic Games will continue to live on in our hearts because the impossible became possible, dreams were realized, and obstacles were removed.
Sporting games have been practiced since the beginning of time as a hobby, a coping skill, a job, and other means of recreation by numerous people throughout the world. The Olympic Games were started centuries ago. The games have grown to a whole new level of athletic ability and excellence.
