Shipping my Christmas Party Gift 🎁

in #newbe4 months ago

Christmas parties are everywhere! Whenever I check my Facebook, my news feed is almost all about Christmas parties and Christmas raffles. I even saw one of my Facebook friends winning a TV in their Christmas raffle—Sana All! While I’m still stuck in the curse of never winning a Christmas raffle for the past 30 years 😂

Unfortunately, our company will only be holding a virtual Christmas Raffle, which I know I won't even win a small prize 😒. On the other hand, my other job is having a Christmas party on December 26 in Manila, and the company will cover my round-trip transportation. However, I won’t be able to attend because I have a shift at my other job. Plus, I’m not prepared for it. I feel like I would need to plan for months to attend, considering the schedule and budget. Maybe next year, I’ll be able to go!😊

I still joined the Christmas exchange gift, though. One of my friends also works at this company and she will attend the Christmas party. I will have her bring my gift to my SP.

When we drew names, I got "Rayn," and his wish list says, "Art set for a 7-year-old kid and sensory bin fillers, which can be ordered on the Shopee app.

I bought the Art Coloring, Drawing, and Painting Set with an aluminum alloy case, painting markers, a cute sharpener, and a booster paint set with 12 colors. I also added cute hairpins and Minnie Mouse hair accessories because I just liked how cute they were. Anyway, my Secret Partner’s kid is a girl. Our exchange gift has to be worth 1,000 php

I was really worried about the sensory bin fillers, thinking they might arrive late. My coworker is flying to Manila today, and I had to bring my gift to her so she could take it. Luckily, the sensory bin fillers arrived on time.

I bought a large paper bag and bubble wrap to protect my gifts, as my coworker might check them in with her luggage, and I wanted to make sure they stay safe during the trip. Since she has a lot of things to bring as well, she'll be the one to put them in the paper bag.

After I prepared everything, I got ready to meet her and give the gifts. I was really tired and sleepy from working straight through, and I actually bought the bubble wrap earlier during my 1-hour lunch, so I was really rushing.

After my shift, my son and I went to give my gift to her. It's almost an hour ride from our house to her place, so I decided to just take a Grab car. I felt like I couldn't handle the commute anymore; it’s so tiring, especially since it's almost 5 PM.

After giving my gift, my son asked if we could buy street food. My friend's house is near a college, and there are a lot of street food stalls in front of the school. We went there and bought my son cheese sticks and fries.

While we were waiting for our ride home, I took the snowbear candy from my pocket, which I had earlier grabbed at home. But when I opened it, there was a stone inside! Then I remembered seeing my son my son putting the stone insdie the snowbear wrap last time, I got pranked! Lol! I also remembered that my mother-in-law once told me Axel went to her and asked if she wanted to eat curls. She excitedly took it, but there were stones inside! I couldn't help but laugh when she told me, but I could see she wasn’t happy. But I can't stop myself from doing this 😁😁😁. But I did scold my son, reminding him that his grandmother’s blood pressure might go up because of pranks like that.

It took almost an hour before we finally got a ride home. I'm also looking forward to what I’ll receive at our Christmas party. Most of the items on my wish list are actually for me, but some are for Axel or my husband. Axel is also looking forward to it, but he keeps complaining that my gifts are too many, and what if I get fewer gifts in return? Lol!

Merry Christmas! It’s really the gift giving season. I didn’t know wishlist could change depending on whether you have a family or not. I’m always surrounded by single people so I didn’t know parents’ wishlist would contain things for kids and their partners. It’s interesting. Ibang POV. hihi
