I didn't think it would take long for @davemccoy and @mudcat36 to spring into action after some recent conversations, but even this exceeded my expectations!
And because I am such a big fan for what they are doing (and have already done) for the community, today is the first day of #newbieresteemday and I am supporting their efforts with my contribution post. The rules are simple.
NEWBIES (40 or less reputation score)
- If you are a newbie (under 40 on your reputation), you just copy a post you want resteemed and I will either resteem it or I will comment on it and give you suggestions to make it better.
REGULARS (40 or more reputation score)
If you are not a newbie (over 40 reputation) but want to help you can do up to 5 things:
- First, you can recommend a link of a newbie that you want to help by submitting it in the comment section here.
- Second, you can resteem any of the links on my page by using YOUR resteems too (Note: make sure to leave a comment so they know they have support from you.)
- Third, spread the word by resteeming "this post" so that the word spreads quickly and we start the ball rolling.
- Fourth, upvote this post as all the SBD earned from the post will be used to "upvote" future newbies thru upvote services like @bumper, @earthnation-bot and @lila-wish-genie.
- Fifth, declare today as your own #newbieresteemday and post your own message (you can copy the original image if you like). Just make sure to tag it with #newbieresteemday so that we can all find it easily.
If you are a newbie, then get me a link you want resteemed.
If you are a regular steemer, please do 1 to 5 of these things. Lets spread the word and get this thing moving!
If you can think of other ways to help #makesteemgreat-again, please feel free to have a chat to @davemccoy, @mducat36 or myself and we would love to also help support your initiative.
As always, be humble... and
You got a 0.91% upvote from @allaz courtesy of @davemccoy!
Hey @plushzilla, this is a wonderful gesture of you! I'm a little bit above the (40) you mentioned (45), but I'm still hoping you'll resteem or vote on my article.
My dog Floppy had back surgery in late December. We couldn't really afford the surgery, but he is family and we had to go ahead and charge it on our credit card (which we just finished paying down). I've been blogging about his recovery and rehab the past 2 weeks and would love your help in getting my fundraiser for Floppy out there, any help is appreciated!!!

Thanks!
Hi @geoffreydemars, I am just following the lead of people like @davemccoy and @mudcat36 so they deserve the credit for getting this initiative off the ground. I am happy to resteem and upvote but as this is not specifically within this initiative it will be just something that I am happy to do as a fellow steemian supporting another :)
So happy to have you on board @plushzilla.
No chance of me missing out on this one, since both you and @davemccoy are involved :)
great thing you are doing for newbies. awesome plushzilla! and thank you
I am still a newbie as well, but some people are 'newer' than others here so it is always nice to provide a helping hand. And it is not just me as well, I think there are plenty who are willing but just don't know where to start :)
Hello @ plushzilla, this is the link to my latest post:
https://steemit.com/life/@apiprincz/a-lost-stranger-a-personal-encounter
Regards @apiprincz. Thanks!
Hi @apiprincz, I went to read your post not realizing that you would be sharing a story that I also had a similar experience with (but a little bit different). Really great to see that even early on in your steemit journey that you are writing from your personal experience and also acknowledging those around you that have helped you. I would encourage you to keep writing and reach out because there are many people willing to share and help each other on this interesting and exciting journey, and also thanks to @ilovepoorpeople for the comments on your post :)
Hi! I'm glad you are a part of this. Thank you so much.
I'm an artist from India and I would really like you to check my work out.
I wasn't sure which post, so I have pasted the links to 3 of my posts.
https://steemit.com/art/@krishnendukj/black-and-white-potrait-digital-art-and-process https://steemit.com/art/@krishnendukj/potrait-digital-art-and-process https://steemit.com/art/@krishnendukj/princess-peach-an-indianised-version-digital-art-and-breakdown
Thank you again. :)
I have upvoted and resteemed all three posts. Your work is quite good and I would encourage you to keep posting and provide more details about your thoughts and process as you go along because the more people know about you the more likely it is for them to provide comments. There are also many competitions that you can join or groups on Discord that you can use to get more exposure to your artwork :)
Tnx a lot for joining dis initiative, I jst need 2 posts resteemed tnx 😁
And
Tnx a lot https://steemit.com/steemitcrush/@effey/my-steemit-crush-surpassinggoogle-piercing-the-deep-asunders-of-my-heart-5583237afe709 https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@effey/introducing-myself-an-introverted-extrovert-embraces-steemit-0343fd9f316fc
Upvoted and resteemed both of your posts :) You have picked some very good people to follow on steemit, and you have many interests so this should be a very good community for you to explore your talents!
Everyone needs their sleep (even @surpassinggoogle), so we are all trying to help him because of the great work he does. I suggest also looking at @ejemai and @samstickkz as they are also doing lots of great work to help steemians :) Good luck with your steemit journey!
Thanks for doing this. I posted my post at a bad time last night and it only got one view. I added @ original works (no spaces) to it just a bit ago so hopefully that helps. I would love to have you take a look at it. I did have @thewritersblock look at it. (oooppsss, I need to thank them.) But I changed a couple things in the rewrite. https://steemit.com/blog/@rpalusz/finding-your-comfort-zone
It's great that you have sought out the good people at thewritersblock with your article, but you are still comfortable with making changes that follow your own ideas rather than just relying on the review. Timing seems to be an issue sometimes with post views but the idea is to create a body of work that reflects who you are on steemit, and you have to do this one post at a time. I would also considering joining some of the writing groups on Discord (Isle of Write being one of them).
I have dropped some comments on your post but I think you just need to keep developing your ideas and even though it seems difficult to share certain things on social media platforms, in time I know you will find your comfort zone and flourish :) I am also curious about the concept of ambivert so maybe you could explain this as an idea for a post?
Keep doing what you are doing because I think it's great, and we are all here to help if you need :)
Being an ambivert mainly means you have both introverted and extroverted traits. On tests I took I scored right in the middle of those extremes making me a pretty classic ambivert.
Don't we all have a little bit of introvert and extrovert in us (maybe in different portions)? I guess ambivert would be more in the middle anyway :)
HOw do I find the Isle of Write on discord? I am still trying to get use to it. I find it hard to connect with anyone there so far.
Sorry, I should have sent you the invite link: https://discord.gg/dzcMWN
Thanks, I got in so I will have to check it out more later.
I just found a new post that needs to be resteemed. It is absolutely beauful with an important message that needs passing on. https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@underwaterwoman/i-dance-underwater-to-raise-awareness-about-ocean-conservation
You are right, this is a wonderful post worthy of more attention and it has been upvoted and resteemed. Thanks for sharing with the community :)
Hi, I am also supporting this great initiative but might also need any support I can get since I am a newbie myself.
https://steemit.com/introducingmyself/@ayingroxie/more-about-me
Any help will be much appreciated.
Absolutely, that's what we are here for! I hope you do find a career path that will make you happy, and also good luck to your brother with his studies, I will also go over and visit his post :)
Thanks for you so much. Yes, he's a newbie too like me. That's so nice of you.
He has made a few good posts but probably a little bit quieter now because of the study :) We are all learning here all the time and the more we can help each other the more we will all learn & grow.
Yes, he's working on several of his projects lately. He just had his first cashout last Sunday but he'll be back on track in no time. Thanks for visiting his profile.
I am starting a weekly contest for newbies to have their work seen and a chance at winning some SBD. Come check it out!
https://steemit.com/contest/@royaleagle/meet-a-minnow-sbd-giveaway
Upvoted and resteemed. Good on you for supporting the newbies :)
Thanks for the donation i upped the prize! Stop back in later in the week to see some good posts I hope 😎 and encourage all your new friends to join.
Hey @plushzilla. @davemccoy said you were trying to get in touch? Hit me back on the reply to this comment if you need anything and I'll jump straight on replying as soon as I get it. :)
Just wondering if I can send some SBD your way to help with the newbieresteemday initiative or anything else that's all :)
That's incredibly kind! At the moment I think everything is good though so hold on to your hard earned profits. I sent some SBD over to a contest to sweeten the prize pot today, but I think everything else is running pretty even keel. It was very kind of you to offer though, but right now your efforts in supporting our initiative are more than enough. I can't put words to how grateful I am to you for that. :)
I can't say that all of the SBD/SP are 'hard earned'... the system is not perfect and therefore the rewards are not directly proportional to the quality/value of the posts (but that's much harder to tackle at the moment). I am glad that there is a lot of synergy between a small group of us at the moment, and it will go from strength to strength because we believe in what we are doing :)
Thank yall so much for helping us newbies! All help is much appreciated! Thanks again!

Great to see you take on a steemit challenge and writing about a place I didn't know much about before. Upvoted and resteemed :)
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed! :)
Hi, just helping a friend here. Any help for him will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
Hi. Please see my post. Thank you.

Upvoted and resteemed :) I am glad that you are using a 'chiasmus' in your post title - it is one of my favourite literary devices.
Hi @plushzilla. I never knew the meaning of 'chiasmus' until i got your comment. Thank you for upvoting and resteeming my post. Additionally, thank you as well for the learning. 😀😀😀😀😀
We are all here to learn from each other and help each other so no need to mention it. I think you will have a rewarding journey on steemit :)
@plushzilla thank you. Having a friend like you is a treasure. Awesome!
Hi, good day!
I am wondering if you help me with this post please.
https://steemit.com/blog/@ayingroxie/the-struggles-of-a-customer-service-representative
Upvoted and resteemed. It is always good to read articles about a different perspective on daily life that we don't get to see or hear. Keep writing and we will support you :)
Thank you so much @plushzilla. Much appreciated.
