Being a teacher has never sank in until I reached the age of 26. I always thought that teaching in public school is really tiring.. The most exhausting job I'll ever do. But now I am a teacher at public school that feeling of being exhausted is present but the love I receive from my students vanishes them all.

Wow! You are quite the teacher. To actually go and visit the students that dont come to class to see if theres an issue that you can help with is very special. I can imagine how exhausting it is, especially when ou try so hard and some students would rather stay out late. But you go above and beyond, and while they may not realize it right now, later in life they will see how much of a blessing you are! I loved this saying, so honest and true...
"Being a teacher is not limited in the four walls of the classroom. Anyone can be a teacher but a chosen few has the heart to dedicate their life in helping their students."
thank you.. I greatly appreciate it.. sometimes we teacher can go beyond our working hours in the name of service..
I enjoyed reading your post, it reminded me of a visit I had to Guatemala to study anthropology. I wish the teachers in my area were as dedicated as you are to doing followup visits at their students houses. I like the choice of black and white photos for this post.
thank you.. I am happy to have shared a bit of my time to my students who needs my guidance.. thank you for taking time to read..
@sawi you're a great teacher which is evident by the concern you have for the well being and progress of your students. I'm sure this girl was surprised to see you, especially having to walk so far, and she must have been uplifted by your concern. I hope she has returned to classes. You deserve to be blessed for the love and dedication you give to your profession.
yes they both came to class early the next day and the next day too. Came to me with a smile, I am just so happy to see them go to school. I have always have the feeling of satisfaction seeing this kids do better in school. Thank you for dropping by and taking the time to read my post.
I am very impressed by the commitment that you have shown to teaching. Not many teachers would take the time to drive a car to a students house let alone walk to rural areas. That experience gave you the chance to step in their shoes and see how far your students walk every day. The willingness to do this show great compassion and empathy. They are lucky to have you!
what a wonderful thing you did @sawi! I love the way you took the time to show the path you followed. It is inspiring to see your story and to also see what other people struggle with. I have been to the Philippines many times and I can picture that exact setting in my mind! You are so good to take such an interest in your students and I will give you my upvote here and my resteem on your post! Great job!!!
Inspirational!! Love it! More than any teachers do around here, that's for sure! Cute cab too btw!
