Banda Aceh - The Aceh government has allocated more than Rp890 billion in 2018 for health programs. The funds will be used to finance the construction and development of four regional hospitals, the construction of a psychosocial rehabilitation center, the JKA program, and the upgrading of medical equipment facilities.
This was conveyed by the Deputy Governor of Aceh, Nova Iriansyah, when opening Regional Health Working Meeting (Raker Kesda) in Aceh at Hermes Palace Hotel, Banda Aceh, Tuesday, April 17, 2018.
We hope that with the implementation of these programs, public services in the health sector will be better and the quality more equitable throughout Aceh, Nova said.
Nova also said that public health problems in Aceh are still quite large. This can be seen from the still high Mortality Rate (MMR) of 143 per 100,000 live births and infant mortality rate (IMR) of 10 per 1000 live births.
While for the number of stunting that hit the children of Aceh reached 35.3 percent. In addition, said Nova, the handling of TB cases is also not maximized.
While for basic immunization coverage, achievement is still 60 percent and for Universal Child Immunization (UCI) only about 65 percent of the 90 percent target in the whole village.
In the meantime, we will focus on prevention of Stunting, TB Elimination, Increasing Immunization Coverage, MMR and IMR, as well as several other important cases, Nova said.
Nova said Raker Kesda was held to formulate a Regional Action Plan related to more comprehensive health care in Aceh.
With the formulation produced later, it is expected that these problems can be overcome, so that the quality of our community health will increase, said Nova.
Nova Iriansyah also invites the participants of Raker Kesda to contribute to the meeting, so that the prevalence of dangerous diseases high enough in Aceh can be reduced gradually.
