Google will ban all relevant types of ads with cryptocurrency in June 2018, this is done for updates to their Financial Services policy.
The news about the crypto ad ban is only for a few days, after crypto advertisers use Google Adwords. However, Google Adwords at that time refused and disagreed about any changes made in their Financial Services rules, which would block Cryptocurrency or Initial Coin Offering (ICO) related ads.
Under the policy of the newly updated Google financial product, it has been mentioned that there will be no ads for "cryptocurrency and content related to krypto. This has become a provision of the google itself.
This move has influenced all advertising products on Google, so companies can not serve cryptocurrency-related ads, as well as third-party sites on their networks.
Scott Spencer, as Director of Advertising at Google, told CNBC on March 14:
"That We do not have a crystal ball to know where the future will go with cryptocurrency, but we have seen enough potential customers or potential consumer dangers so that is an area we want to approach with extreme caution."
Facebook has also banned crypto ads in January this year, citing the potential for "deceptive promotion practices."
Recent Crypto currency ads have also been reported to have disappeared from Chinese social media sites amid a ban on crypto and ICO exchanges in China.
