A report said that Recently, 13 students lost their lives in Uttar Pradesh as the driver was talking on the mobile phone while driving. The driver did not see the train coming in an unmanned railway crossing. Talking on wireless devices such as Bluetooth headset is also not permitted while driving. But catching such offenders will be a challenge for the traffic police.
In 2016, the usage of mobile phone claimed at least 2.138 lives across the country. The Rajasthan High Court has taken a right step by passing an order to cancel the licence of people using a mobile phone while driving or riding.
The number of accidents on the Indian road is increasing at an alarming rate and the authorities are striving hard to spread awareness about safe driving or riding. Now, TO reports that Rajasthan High court has instructed the traffic police to cancel that licence of people who are found using a mobile phone while driving. The Rajasthan high court has direct the traffic police to get photographs of the drivers and riders using mobile and forward the details to the RTO for cancellation of the driving licence.
Using mobile while driving is against the low and it also causes an accident. The order was passed by the bench comprising Justices Gopal Krishna Vyas. The bench has ordered the traffic police to tack strict action against people using mobile while driving.
