US President Donald Trump said his top meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-Anne will be in Singapore - on June 12th.
In a Twitter message Trump said that the two leaders will try to make the meeting a unique moment for global peace.
The summit aims to reduce military tensions between Washington and Pyongyang, and discuss a possible end to North Korean nuclear weapons program.
Just hours after the release of three Americans held by North Korea, Mr. The announcement came from the side of the trump.
North Korea recently promised that they will close their nuclear test centers and suspend the missile program.
The United States trump administration has repeatedly credited the UN sanctions on North Korea.
But North Korea says that their administration is now focusing on economic development, that is why this change is their position.
Prior to the release of three Americans who were detained in North Korea, they personally received President Donald Trump.
Talking to journalists on Andrews air base, Mr. Trump called Kim Haak Sang, Tony Kim and Kim Dong Chol as "great people".
He also said that he should honor his role in the release. Two of the three released were working as a lecturer in a university founded by Evangelical Christians in North Korea. The third person was a Christian priest.
They were released during the visit of US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to Pyongyang.
