BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:40 P.M.) - The Russian and Syrian air forces resumed their airstrikes over the Idlib countryside this afternoon, targeting several sites belonging to the jihadist rebels.
Russian and Syrian jets flying out of the Hmaymim Airbase in southwest Latakia launched at least a half dozen airstrikes over the town of Ariha, hitting a weapons depot belonging to the jihadist rebels.
In addition to their airstrikes over Ariha, the Russian and Syrian jets also struck the Idlib Governorate towns of Oram Al-Jouz and Basniqoul.
Since the morning, the Syrian and Russian air forces have launched over 20 airstrikes in the Idlib countryside, marking the first time in two weeks that they have launched this many strikes in a day.
