Taxes are necessary for a state to function, but it isn't important for the state where the money is comming from.
For the individual people however it makes a big difference, because tax cuts for the wealthier people would either mean less money for the state or higher taxes for the poor. Resulting in worse conditions for them either way.

Yeah you are right and because of that "wealthier" people got a bigger percentage.
You need to take the cost of living into consideration a citizen have to pay compared to what the average get on money in the US.What about pension;healthcare;education et cetera.
Those things can cost in the US. They shouldn't!
if you have everything you need,you have no "fears"...You don't care about "too high taxes".Trust me.-Of course only if you work or go to school.If you are productive for your country!
