I heard today that insects around the world contribute about $56B to the world's agriculture economy (ie, it would cost the world $56B to do the same work that insects do for free)... but because of products produced by Bayer (as well as climate change, deforestation, etc) insects are dying out in absolutely staggering numbers. Insects are absolutely integral at the bottom of the food chain, and their decimation affects literally every person whether they realize it or not...
This case is absolutely huge and definitely a step in the right direction today.
