Petersburg archaeologists discovered in the Krasnodar region of the Bronze Age monument
The expedition of the Institute of History of Material Culture of the Russian Academy of Sciences found in the Krasnodar region a new monument to the Pre-Scythian period. It will allow scientists to update the knowledge of the Caucasian living in this region of the Middle and Late Bronze Age several thousand years before the arrival of the Scythians, the press service of IHMC RAS.
In the tract Cornel beam found about 30 graves. One of the mounds, stone structures having proved later - it built the Scythians. Under the burial mounds were discovered burial baby and adult. Burial adult connected with the tomb of the horse, which found the bridle with bronze ornaments.
However, two other members of the mound belong to a completely different culture, much earlier. So far, about these people, little is known, their origin to the end is not clear, we can only say that they were Caucasians, representing the two cultures of the Bronze Age: catacomb - the Middle Bronze Age (XXV-XX centuries BC) and the carcass (XVIII - XII centuries BC) They were engaged in the productive economy -.. agriculture and cattle breeding, from the era of the Scythians separates them several thousand years.
