The modern world has been obsessed with identity identification technologies and each time there are ways of more sophisticated to prove their identity. It has come to the point that you need to go through a lot of procedures before you will be believed in who you are: from comparing fingerprints to measuring the diaphragm.
But such methods are quite expensive and complex, there are also cheap and simple methods that are not reliable and sometimes safe. Canada went the other way and found a creative solution with the optimal ratio of cost and reliability. Their new system is based on blocking technology and allows the identification of citizens quickly and accurately.
The blocking system will allow citizens of Canada to store all personal data in one place, for example, on their smartphone. If some structures ask them for their personal information, citizens can simply provide a secret key that will show their personal data.
It is easy and convenient for those who need it and do not want to store their data in several databases that are also vulnerable to hacker attacks. The system assumes that the user can verify the identity only through a special application on a smartphone or on a Windows device. The new method will be available in the first half of 2018.
