If a shooting war breaks out between Iran and Saudi Arabia it could quickly escalate to include the US and Israel which will prompt Turkey, Russia, Egypt, China and the EU to choose sides. I say this because all the aforementioned countries have interests and assets in the region and the region is a major supplier of oil which all but ensures an escalation in the event that hostilities break out.
