Technical details have taken too long to emerge about the highly anticipated Sirin Finney, which is the most secure mobile phone which promises to keep your Cryptocurrency transactions entirely private.
One feature we all love is the embedded cold storage wallet, which is built by the same manufacturers of Apple's iPhone.
Sirin labs announced that the cold storage Crypto wallet phone will most likely hit markets later this year.
The promotion of past projects by Sirin labs has been successful. Only last year an ICO of theirs raised $157.8 million.

Released Info About Cold Storage Hardware
All major Crypto assets will be supported by this hardware. It will be embedded in the phone but completely independent from the phone unless connected
The wallet is completely disconnected from the phone in terms of net, electricity and everything. The moment you’d want to make a transaction, the wallet ‘heats up’ with just enough electricity needed for a transaction and then ‘cools’ back down. The whole secure element is completely separated from the main chipset. LINK

I don't feel like this is a gamechanger, and I wouldn't call it a Blockchain phone. Pardon the unpopular opinion, but I really feel this is a pretty passable marketing scheme based on trends.
Sure, people want more solutions for cold wallets, but that's because the companies already offering products are charging huge amounts because of lack of competition and price lock.
There is really no benefit to having this phone other than the wallet being integrated, we have no knowledge on whether or not developers will be able to implement software for other coins or how the interface gets updated.
There could still be various risks related to using this.
Why not have a audiojack, bluetooth, wifi or micro-usb cold wallet for a fraction of the price? Wouldn't it make more sense considering they can all 3 use encryption for the data channel and are very similar to an integrated wallet?
I'd love to hear some thoughts on this
I do not know much about cold wallets if I am being perfectly honest. This was just the first Crypto phone I heard of and I wanted to share it with Steemit.
Funny i come across this.. I was just asking when the blockchain phone is expected to drop.. It is needed. But the question is can we trust it?
We do not know yet but it is good to consider each possibility when it comes to Crypto storage.
Time will tell.
I believe this phone from #sirinlabs will be a hit! Especially really big among the crypto enthusiast and I am one of them as well. I find it very exciting actually, since we are moving into more and more crypto-users in the world and everyone has got a smartphone anyway, why just don't combine it. @sirinlabs $SRN
This is just what I thought @stellarplanet! Hope you have a good time using this Crypto phone when it launches.
