New Delhi, India:
A peaceful march was organised by a group of people to make everyone aware about the ill effects of the rising pollution. There has been sharp increase in the pollution level in the national capital and it spikes at some particular time of the year. Supreme Court has been monitoring it closely and instructs government from time to time to take proper action.
People from all age group and from all walks of life were part of this peaceful march. There were many school children who actively took part in took part in this. All the people who attended the march were wearing pollution masks. Some pollution masks were also distributed free of cost to the local people out there.
Everyone had made very colourful posters to grab the attention. Posters with interesting and meaningful quotations were all around. They were posters with the message “We are not Hiroshima” and “Do not let our future go in smoke” were there. One young kid was seen holding a poster with the message “Every time you smoke, I start to choke” was also there.
International media agencies were also present to cover the complete story. Different NGOs had collaborated to make this event a successful one and also to be sure the message to save our environment reaches to everyone.
Different methods to control pollution were discussed.
Everyone shared their ideas and took vows to implement them.
Not always we see people coming up on the street for such a noble cause. The pollution is under control now and we must be thankful to everyone who had put in their effort to bring it under control.
This is wonderful to see! When people come together and work together, there is absolutely nothing they cannot accomplish! Keep organizing and pushing for change politically! You are addressing a concern that is shared globally.
