‘Bromances’ are threatening heterosexual relationships, researchers say, as men surveyed report sharing beds, cuddling and getting more emotional satisfaction out of male friendships than those with women.

The first thing I thought when I read this headline was, what is the ulterior motive behind this research? I already new it had to have something to do with feminism, simply for the fact that getting money for such research is very difficult unless it relates to women's 'difficulties' in the world. i.e. something to further feed feminist doctrine.
The article seems to be claiming that men are becoming, how to put it, homosexual without having sex. To see what I mean, you will have to read the whole text of the article. A defining sentence for this is:
When asked to describe the difference between a ‘bromance’ and a romance, ‘Bob’ answered: “Sex really. That’s all.”
The research claims that young men now go on sleepovers and sleep in beds together as a matter of course. They also like hugging each other affectionately and would rather share their problems with men than members of the opposite sex.
The article finishes with a signifyingly modern feminism slant from one of the researchers. Even though the research showed that men benefited greatly from their new found sense of freedom from their interaction with members of their own sex, one of the researchers gave a negative viewpoint:
Dr Stefan Robinson, of the university, said the results are “significant and worrying” for women and warned there is an emerging culture of sexism and disdain in the way millennial men view the opposite sex.
