With less than an hour to go till lights out, the Italian Formula 1 grand prix will take place in Monza today. Lights out at 1PM BST.
The Ferrari team is expected to do really well at Monza as per supposed track suitability and race simulation but the qualifying session yesterday threw up a few surprises. The Ferrari's just didn't seem to work in the wet weather at all. Lewis Hamilton topped the time sheets to take his 69th career pole position, making him the record holder.
The Redbull pair of Max and Daniel although qualified 2nd and 3rd respectively, they will be starting at the back of the grid due to penalties for changes to their cars.
F1 career debutants Stroll and Ocon will be starting the race in the front and second row as a result of the Redbull penalties. It should be a really good race.
Vettel and team mate Kimi also benefit from the Redbull penalty as they both gain two places despite the teams poor showing in qualifying.
I think this race is a slam dunk for Hamilton but the Ferrari's with the right strategy might be able to pass the new boys. Rain is not predicted for the race so the chances of weather playing a big part is unlikely. Who will you be supporting?
