Hello Steemians! I just updated my @partiko app on Android and it now contains a chat function!
I did a quick test and sent a message to my friend @crazycatuncle. Apparently, if the user has not started using Partiko messaging feature, a comment will instead be added to his/her recent post.
The comment will look like this at the post.
For the longest time, the Steem platform is lacking an effective chat/messaging system. The introduction of chat feature might be our saving grace :).
Have you started using the Partiko messaging system? If so, do drop me a message and let's test it together.

@jlordc promptly sent me a message via Partiko chat and it works! Think we got a better chat system here on Steem already :)

This seems like a good feature that will probably move me towards the Partiko app for making comments and upvoting. Can't wait to try it out.
Do try it out. It is the primary way I interact with the Steem platform on mobile. My posts are still mostly done through my laptop but Partiko is really useful for quick replies, upvotes, reading, and writing short posts

Yes, it would be great if Steem has a chat/messaging system. There would be more interaction without having to deplete all the RCs - which is already miserable to begin with. :-)
