Trump calls out Germany for car sales exports

Trump has called out Germany for their car sales exports. Trump said "see the millions of cars they sell in the U.S., terrible. We will stop this."

To me, this doesn't make sense because no one is forcing anybody in America to buy a German car; people have their own reasons for buying things. In my opinion, our freedoms and choices are being limited by government, yet again.

But what do you think:

Who is to blame here, the supplier (Germany) for selling cars to the American people, or the demand (people in America) for buying German cars?
