Czech Republic gripped by enormous heatwave

in #news6 years ago

Hi everyone!

Today, I am coming with a sort of heads-up for those who are planning to visit my beautiful homeland, the Czech Republic. The summer season is when the country gets most tourists and visitors but this part of the year also comes with the possibility of enormous heat and this is actually what is happening here (as well as in many other European countries) right now.

We are currently amid a massive heat wave with temperatures reaching up to 38 degrees Celsius (100 degrees Fahrenheit). Tuesday and Wednesday have been the hottest days of the week so far with Thursday and Friday being a bit colder but according to the weather forecast, we might get to experience another dose of scorching heat during the weekend.

As usually, big cities with a dense housing development such as Prague tend to be affected by the heat most so if you are planning to visit the Czech capital these days, make sure to have a lot water with you and try to avoid being in the direct sun.

It hit 41 degrees in SW France today. The dogs are suffering and all the fans are on! Thankfully I am staying in a house with a pool and a good local brewery :)

That sounds great:)

Hi Tomás, the summer season is very hot, but with the climatic changes, the situation gets worse in some countries. In the state in which I live there is a coastal area and the heat is tremendous more than normal. So we must consume more water to keep the body hydrated.

Water consumption is the key in those days. Have a good one.

I like it, this is so coolsdfsdf.gif

I was on a mini vacation in Italy but came home to my mountain house in Switzerland because it was too hot!
