Czechs named the second biggest alcohol drinkers in the EU

in #news6 years ago

Hi there my Steemit friends and followers!

If you follow my blog regularly, you probably know that my homeland, the Czech Republic, is something like the world´s beer capital with by far the largest beer consumption per capita in the world.

However, it just turned out that the Czech people are very keen on other alcoholic beverages too. According to the latest survey, the average Czech drinks 11.7 l (396 oz) of pure alcohol every year, making our nation the second biggest drinker (together with France) in the European Union. The only country with even higher alcohol consumption is Lithuania (with 13.2 l or 446 oz of pure alcohol/person/year).

While this primacy is something we cannot really be proud of, it also means you will have no troubles finding new friends for partying and pub-crawling on your next trip to the Czech Republic :)

I'm wondering to hear Czech is a second biggest drinker together France. But there has interesting thing. It's very easily can know new peoples and then can guide from them where will road map etc..

Oh well, all people need to decide on the road they will follow.... I am up for a good party and few drinks myself but definitely not for extensive drinking, especially hard liquor.... But then I am not here to judge anyone, it is all people's choice....

well enjoy yourself em not in favour of alcohol 😃.In my feed 1st two posts are yours :p

They Creatively and independently instead utilize containers that the room is quite narrow as a place to produce beer. No wonder if this country occupies the top position as the country 'drunk' highest in the world.

Hahaha. Very interesting to know that. one occasionally causes him to drink a few glasses of liquor, or a beer. Thanks for sharing your post.

@czechglobalhosts it's a big news from Czech. loved a lot to read this amazing news.

Hmm i knew that Czech republic was a power house of alcohol consumption. I never knew that it was the largest in the whole of europe based on alcohol consumption together with France. Thanks for sharing this awesome news. A new wonder about Czech republic.

That is an incredible info. I just knew Czech Republic was famous for its natural and architectural beauty and had made several records in that sense but this is even good. Czech just keeps on creating wonders for the world to see.

Well good for hangouts at the end of the day for partying ;)

I love the Czech Republic. I wish you a pleasant evening.
Good mood and new achievements!
Good tasting alcoholic beverages in moderation!
To not forget in what country you one is )

I like your beherovka.

In Karlovy Vary was even in the Museum and the factory
for the production of this wonderful drink.
Tried many different types of it ))

Maybe drinking in itself is not a great honor but it makes it clear that Czechs like to have fun, are friendly, cheerful and should have a great heart because they are happy, but do not exceed greetings.

Congrats :-P

I could swear Portugal would be on top of that list! Or maybe it's just on the wine consumption one... anyway, you have strong competitors here! 😁

I found it very interesting haha because I am a liquor lover but regulated and I always like to learn more about them and who are the most consumers, next trip, republic checha haha congratulations
