Google re-released an operating system named Fuchsia.
The news was first terendus through a site GitHub.
Fuchsia reportedly will be the operating system to support the Internet of Things IOT alias.
Although details of the Fuchsia less, we know that the OS is not based on the Linux kernel and having to maintain some visual features of the Android platform.
The first thing you need to know about this new OS is that it is Google's first operating system that is not based on Linux, such as Android, Chrome OS, and Chromecast.
But what the search engine giant 's intention with the project Fuchsia?
Fuchsia is currently still in the early stages of development, and even Google to develop quietly. But his appearance on Github finally revealed as well.
Name Fuchsia
Fuchsia ( read FYU - valid ) is actually a flower that has the name of the color combination of purple and pink. I wonder what the reason behind the name selection Fuchsia as Google made this latest OS, but from the description page on Github official Fuchsia "Pink + == Fuchsia Purple", some argue that this is the base OS Combined with Android + Chrome OS which reportedly had to blow some time then.
However, because the info about Fuchsia is still very limited, especially there has been no official statement from Google at all, then it remains a mystery to this day.
OS Smartphone, PC, until IOT
Fuchsia use the kernel called Magenta is designed to be able to run on any device, ranging from IOT, embedded devices, smartphones, tablets, to desktop and laptop.
The concept is similar to the direction of the development of Windows 10 at this time, where Microsoft makes Windows 10 can run on all kinds of devices with various screen sizes.
So if Fuchsia OS development is indeed a serious project from Google ( not just a side project ), it is not impossible in the future will serve as a competitor to Windows 10 OS.
Material Design UI
If Windows 10 uses Modern UI, Fuchsia Material Design will certainly use the typical Android -based flatter. The main programming language used in Fuchsia OS is a Dart.
Support Processor ARM & Non-ARM
Fuchsia OS supports ARM processor 32 -bit / 64 - bit or 64 -bit non - ARM, making it able to run on almost all types of devices ranging from smartphones, PC, up to IOT.
Project Home or Outside?
This is still a mystery. Do Fuchsia is a major project or just a side project of Google?
If the major project, if the later would be designated as a new OS to replace Android + Chrome OS, or will become a new OS beyond the OS?
Does this OS is Google's answer for the failure in his bid Chrome OS Windows market share?
Till now all these questions unanswered and still a mystery. Of course we will update continuously if there is new info regarding this Fuchsia.
nice!
