So long as one's actions do not harm another, individuals should be allowed to do what they want with their own bodies. It's all about autonomy, about the primacy of the individual.
Yes but Liberty isn't observed in Canada. "Legalization" is just monopolization for the government and criminalization of the current peaceful multi-billion dollar industry. Most plant 'crimes' are getting even more strictly punished such as 19+ years for growing 1 plant or having more than 1 ounce of weed. Even public 'cannabis intoxication' is punishable with prison now.
