GEICO ought to do an ad for the US and Russia. If you are the US and Russia, you interfere in other countries' elections. It's what you do.

I'm sure they did, it's their job as a country just as the United States interfere with global scale elections. The thing you can't believe is that there was any direct intervention with the voting system to warrant any wrongdoing. Sponsored content and FaceBook don't count, and neither does information programming to sway the minds of voters. The American public is only now becoming aware of questioning authority and has let this kind of thing slide for decades. Beliefs are not proof. Politics is manipulation, plain and simple.

Funny thing is if Russia was behind leaks all they did was show people Truth

I didn't even consider that disinformation tactic to convince people that Wikileaks was synonymous with Russia, and this came from damage control in the Clinton campaign, as did the term "fake news". Now we see where all that got us.

I don't think many people deny that Russia probably tried to interfere in our election. What most thinking people are upset about is that there is no evidence that Trump "colluded" with the Russians, or that the Russians were the ones that hacked the DNC. The Dems wouldn't even let the CIA or FBI inspect its servers that were supposedly hacked. Seth Rich was almost definitely the leaker, and the DNC blamed it on Russia and planted fake evidence.

Even if Russia tried to interfere, they had very little impact on the outcome. Hillary lost because she was the most corrupt, unlikeable, evil candidate ever to run.

Very well said, and I can't see how anyone could argue this unless political loyalty obscures objective logic and scrutiny.

America does times 100 what Russia does to manipulate other governments across the world and elections. I say this as a borm and raised American. United States Government is the biggest criminal organization mankind has ever seen!

This is very true. The elite people involved with government work together to manipulate the outcome of the “so called” elections. A good point to bring up is the difference between elect and select. I would recommend a detailed research of these different terms and how they really work. I have just Resteemed this post to help share it. Have a great Sunday!

good, would you visit my blog @davidpakman

Would you like to interview the guy from CaspianReport? He did some good segments on the Middle East and Russia. I think it would be a constructive interview and would maybe even attract some new audience.

It will happen again this year in the U.S. as the federal government is asleep at the wheel and wholly unequipped.

That's mean. Why won't they let Israel run things? lol

Hi david.. Its interesting.. Actually super powers are doing such things in different countries.. I read many repports..

Hi @Davidpakman.
Конечно,
каждый выбор лидера является лучшим,
потому что они в чести Маха Пенципта. Действительно,
лидерский персонаж похож на характер людей,
которые имеют его на всех выборах (выборы).

Spot on @davidpakman! But it seems like our society is perfectly happy living in denial, or, they prefer to blame the "other team" for spreading fake news... many are waking up, but so many are still in their bubbles.

Interesting post @davidpakman. Good points. It amazed me how they could do this.

How many regime changes have they done?

There is no doubt that Russia attempts to manipulate elections in other countries, every country that has a power does the same, even Kazakhstan interferes with the elections of Kyrgyzstan. However, it doesn't mean that these attempts were successful. No evidence. Maybe it was Vietnamese hackers. Why no one thinks about Vietnamese hackers? http://www.securityweek.com/apt32-vietnamese-hackers-target-foreign-corporations

Maybe it was Chinese? Why not.

Dtube link?

I totally agree with all you're saying about Russia (I come from one of those 19 countries), but I'm still not convinced that you can prevent the manipulation of ads by merely stating who's paying for them. I can pay for ads, I can be on the Russian payroll, you'd never have proof of that. I might just be an activist. I might just be an idealist.

I still believe that unless we overhaul entirely the way people get information these days, these matters will always be somewhat muddy. And once this particular train has departed, and I'm of course referring to the so-called freedom of speech and advertising in the social networks, it's going to be a hell of a task to stop it, mainly because you'd be accused of trying to manipulate or cover up the truth. Nobody cares where the money comes from when it pays for ads and groups that they agree on.

Of course they did... but everyone interferes in everyone else's elections, what's so bad about it this time?

Everyone's constantly spying on each other and trying to thwart parties they disdain abroad and nationally.

Hahahaha do you work for the Clinton's.
