More Than 500 Civilians Killed By Airstrikes This Week In Syria

in #news7 years ago

The U.S. government has spent billions of dollars on the war conflict in Syria and yet there is still no end in sight to the fighting.

For the country of Syria, it's estimated that the conflict has destroyed or damaged at least 27 percent of the nation's housing stock, along with at least half of the educational and medical facilities.

The conflict has meant disastrous consequences for hundreds of thousands of innocent people, mostly women and children, who have either lost their lives or been forced to move.

It's estimated that at least 45 percent or more of the population has been displaced and the loss of life is said to be somewhere upwards of 450,000 deaths.

And this week, they can add a few hundred more to the list.

Airstrikes kill more than 500+...

The media was quick to say that the deaths were the fault of the Syrian and Russian governments, as a part of their effort to combat threats in the region.

But there might be a crucial bit of information that they are conveniently leaving out of the narrative. Other parties have alleged that the 500+ deaths are the direct fault of the various groups that are currently occupying the Eastern Ghouta region. These are groups such as the US military, along with UK, Nusra, and Jaysh al-Islam.

The blame for the loss of life has been placed on them because those groups allegedly refused repeated efforts from the Syrian government to have civilians evacuated from the area.

And this isn't the first time that the Western media has been accused of trying to distort the facts, in an effort to paint a more favorable scenario that would support their foreign policy agenda in the region.

warquote.png

So long as the West and its allies maintain their foreign policy agenda, in providing support to “rebels” in these regions, then they are only going to prolong the suffering for not only people in Syria, but for their own as well.

The U.S. hasn't made it any secret that they want regime change in Syria, despite backtracking efforts made to try and put forth the idea that they would allow the people in that region to decide. Interventionists in Washington aren't going to give up on their plans that easily, to them it obviously doesn't matter how many innocent people are killed or how many much it's going to cost.

The taxpayers who foot the bill for this conflict, were told that the battle was going to promote freedom and security—but it's done quite the opposite. US foreign policy instead, is responsible for creating an unbelievable amount of death, misery, and destruction.

Wondering when, if ever, US authorities might take the time to pause and consider that maybe they should start to mind their own business. It's hard to imagine that they would ever humble themselves to admit any mistake made; take up their things and leave. Some have suspected, such as former Congressman Ron Paul, that the US will likely go broke first before they move to change their foreign policy.

“I believe it was the financing of the Soviet system that brought it down as much as anything; that's the way most authoritarian empires end, and I think that's the way our system is going to end” - Ron Paul.

For a nation that's already trillions in debt, it doesn't come across as a wise decision to continue funneling billions on empire building overseas.

Has the foreign policy that the US has operated with for the last several decades been carried out for the interest of the American people? On the contrary, the results that have been reaped from aggressive actions committed overseas have caused harm to Americans in many ways. Sooner or later the deep state is going to realize that they can't continue trying to run the world....or will they?

This is so heartbreaking everyday people are drying . Kids , mothers , brothers ,fathers and what not . When will this war ever end ? When can we be in peace ?

USA is hell on earth. It always seek war and death.

Thats sad I know we can only bring peace by love not hatred I think, stone for a stone makes the situation worst there, countries around should come forward to provide shelters, some economic supports to the Syrian who left country.
Big superpowers like America,Russia, should stop being on opposite sides rather come on a consensus and make better decisions.they should stop supporting the blacksheeps of the country.

Ohhhhhhh Really feeling so sad of the current situation of Syria. I just want to say that "No War Just Peace"

this is so true! No wonder so many war veterans commit suicide sadly. When will this end...

Hopefully Adam Kokesh changes something when he hopefully becomes the not president!

Good on you for bringing more awareness to this. Pointless spending. Do we even know what we are fighting at this point?

I hope for it to end soon. Fighting needs to stop, we need to make allies not enemies.

Bring everyone together and let us try to achieve peace. Seems like a ridiculous thing to say, I know, but it might just happen one day if we can get rid of all the hate.

Cheers.

"Wondering when, if ever, US authorities might take the time to pause and consider that maybe they should start to mind their own business."

Why should they stop when these perpetual wars keep the whole military complex well funded? Trump just boosted defense spending, so things have never been better for the war profiteers.

Wow amazing I like your post

I read your post. This is very heartbreaking . I can't understand why they kill innocent people ?

This is quite awful as the percentage of the mortality rate is way too high.
I am very displeased and sad reading this post.

I'll just pray a better help comes to them

Thank you very much for information on developments in Syria. May they soon live in peace.

So sad that so many people don't care or don't believe the US govt is responsible for thousands of civilian deaths over the years since 9/11.

Very good information. thanks for sharing.

great view over my friend

Muy buena tu publicación,

With these actions it is demonstrated that human beings are only a number and little matter to the governments of the day. No matter what nationality you are and what kind of war your country is suffering, no government does anything in favor of people, everything is done by interez.
Nothing angers me more than wars and the results of them, because always the one who pays the consequences is the people.

I wish you a beautiful weekend Excellent information I asked friend, @doitvoluntarily thank you very much for sharing

Just .. Disgusting.. Horrible proxy war.

War is peace!

such a corrupt world. Next week it will another 500 at least. Oh but don't worry, the survivors will praise the west when it's done right? They always do..... not.

Hola amiga que triste y conmovedor

You have dictatorship, democracy, communism, socialism, egalitarianism, ecclesiastical, monarchy, oligarchy and so much more; all systems of governance that aims to provide better quality of life for it's citizens championed by those that are hungry for power. All of these at their core is a system of idea that says maybe.. just maybe if we did this then things would be better. But here we are at a period of time where it's a holocaust of idea, where all who think different is tyrant knowing full well you can't kill idea. So, what do you do if that's the case. You kill all those that potentially have them. Freedom for all but not that much.

Until either Assad or Russia is destabilised, the west will never stop its actions of letting others do their dirty work. Supplying weapons to rebels is not getting any better, because innocent civilians whose allegiance lies to nether side are the ones caught suffering.

Innocents are always the casualties of war, whilst the perpetrators get away with it and live on their lives without there being justice.
