For Witcher 3 fans - Farewell to the White Wolf

in #news7 years ago

 Who needs it at all?

This is a question that many of you probably think. Witcher 3: Wild Hunt got Blood and Wine - an addition that was supposed to play such a role in the assumption of developers: the finale of adventures and farewell to the hero who accompanied the players (and readers) for so many years. According to the vast majority of critics, it was a successful attempt (in our review, the extension received a rare, round dot). So why would you like to say goodbye to the White Wolf? The answer is simple: in the opinion of quite a large group of fans, at the end prepared by CD Projekt RED, there was a lack of a summary, after which one could set an appropriate dot, thus finally sending Geralt to a well-deserved retirement. Anyway, let's be honest that the donated Płotka does not look into your teeth. Every reason is good to return to the Witcher universe, is not it?
The story presented in the fashion will be strongly inspired by Andrzej Sapkowski's story, which is not part of the witcher's canon of the world. Something ends, something begins, showing three-day, boisterous - and, as is usually the case in The Witcher - the unforgettable wedding of Geralt and Yennefer. However, this is not all - the creators of the modifications decided to include in their story also threads related to characters that only appeared in games. Thanks to this, each hero is to receive an appropriate farewell. However, Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri are of key importance.

Why not three?

The decision to work on the modem for the second and not the third - much more advanced technically - the editions of the adventures of the popular "Wieśka" is related to the fact that, unlike Dziki Gonek, the Kings Assassins received an extensive editor that offers much greater opportunities for amateur creators - the so-called. RED Kit. However, this approach to the case was also associated with some complications.
Problems were also caused by the creation of animated scenes. The creators of the modification wanted very much to resemble what we know from The Witcher 3, however, as they say, it is easier to say than to do. Not only was the Kings Slayer engine much more static in terms of how the conversations were presented (eg camera shots), then the modelers were not able to create their own scenes from scratch - only to modify existing ones. Designing new, nicely animated and dialogue-related dialogues required laborious sticking of them from modified pieces of old conversations.

Crazy ambitions - the scale of Farewell to the White Wolf

The scale of the project is to be comparable with Stone hearts, but we will get not one, but three different endings. Thanks to the use of a rather unusual solution that will allow players to be the hero of a story told by a given character during a wedding, we will see completely new, previously unknown locations. Despite focusing on existing characters, the heroes created by its authors will also be modified. One of them is to be Bjarne - a witcher from the Niedźwiedzia school, who will accompany Eskel in the hunt for the monster. The game in Pożegnaniu will not be based solely on conversations with the heroes - there will also be room for action. In a word: the scale of the project is really shocking. His creation required literally thousands of hours.
Of course, it was not without cuts and having to accept certain restrictions. This category includes mainly dubbing. The creators did not want to approach the matter amateurishly, and the hiring of professional actors, of course, was out of the question in the case of free, amateur modification. Therefore, the modification will be completely silent.
