CNN had just aired the most bizarre reactions in response to the catcalling viral video. The catcalling video shows a woman who walked around New York City for 10 hours and received more than 100 catcalling from men of all backgrounds. The video was originally made as a public service ad by a viral video agency, but it illustrates perfectly the situation women daily deals with. As the video went viral, comments were flooding.
CNN did a segment hosted by Fredricka Whitfield as a response to the catcalling video, inviting Steve Santagati, an author and a self-proclaimed dating expert, and Amanda Seales, a New York-based comedian. Seales acknowledge the catcalling phenomenon, and confesses to experience it every day the moment she walked out her front door. Santagati, on the other hand, dismissed the problem and defended the catcalling because a woman loves to hear how pretty she is. The segment quickly turned into a baffling rant from Santagati, which accidently revealed his misogynist view and amazes his co-hosts.
