Wow...I thought they would never let it go.
This is fantastic news.
Yet, I don't know why...but i feel hesitant to celebrate this victory.
CIA has been humiliated and he has a lot of powerful enemies at the moment... I'm just worried about him.
Regardless, this is a vindication!

I completely agree. This is a small victory. But a victory nonetheless. He would still get arrested if he walked out of the embassy by British police because of the dumb extradition agreement between US and UK.
UN still think its unlawful detention though. Its such a fucking witch hunt. CIA etc dont realize that arresting Assange wont stop WL it will only make things worse. WL is bigger than just Assange.

For sure, I'm wondering now about the Poitras documentary, Risk, from some of the shots in the trailer it appears that Assange was putting on disguises and was able to (perhaps) come and go from the embassy. He may no longer be there...

Interesting. I did a fully sourced timeline of events leading up to vault 7 release because the one floating around at the time had no source material. Turned out quite a bit of it was wrong.
I speculated at the time that he actually escaped on the 08/22/2016 during the (fake?) attempted break in:

Wikileaks tweets attempted break in at the Ecuadorian Embassy.

You never know, he could have escaped long ago. How amazing would that be, if we discover he eluded the 24 hr surveillance the Brits wasted millions on.

He hasnt physically been seen at the window or balcony since the attempted break in. He has only been seen on greenscreen livestreams and a handful of interviews. None of which can confirm he's definitely still there.

Really worried this is just a way to flush him out of the embassy so they can kill him.

Agreed. Quite a possibility. The UK will still extradite him if he leaves the embassy.
