I hear you buddy and largely agree w u, but also worth pointing out that people r pissed. And fed up staying home. If those people are in the masses who don't care/worry about getting corona or feel "they're cause is just" then let them go out and get infected. There's genuinely only so much the gov can do to stop a herd-gone-wild. Individuals w brains and/or loved-ones to project from corona do the whole nine-yards of precautions. The masses march anyway and some will surely get infected and infect others who also don't take enough precautions.. And some of those will surely figure out where they got the infection and still feel "it was worth it". What can we or the gov do, in the end? Stay protected ourselves and guide our loved ones..

Thanks for the reply! I don't think there is anything the government nor the police could have done to prevent the protest from happening and perhaps maybe that's the way it should be in a free society. There's no doubt though that a lot of people will feel anger at being told to not visit family members etc by Boris on the same day that he essentially gives the protesters a free pass to defy the coronavirus regulations in the UK.

I'm all for peaceful protest. The timing with COVID is unfortunate and naturally brings additional challenges and questions on what we should or shouldn't be allowed to do. I just felt this was a point worth mentioning as the media are on the one hand telling us to stay in and avoid gatherings etc while at the same promoting these protests in a positive manner in total disregard of any social distancing. That's not to mention the way the media and the left went after Dominic Cummings only for them a week later to be doing far worse.

I appreciate the discussion though, that's what these platforms need to be about
