This sucks, we should be able to wear whatever we want without feeling ashamed. I am wondering where you live (checking..) ah, sei Italiana? (io sono Danese ma sono stata 2 anni in Trentino, che mio compagno è di là)
I remember it was always a common thing for Danish people to get bothered by men in Italy by their blond hair and blue eyes, but luckily I havnen't felt it so much. Maybe because I have been there mostly along with a man and a child!
